El especialista en Ginecología y Obstetricia certificado es un médico legalmente autorizado para ejercer la especialidad, que ha obtenido el grado de especialista a través de un programa de residencias universitaria de cuatro años de duración reconocida por el propio Consejo y que ha demostrado ante sus pares integrados en jurado, poseer:Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics is a medical certificate legally entitled to practice the specialty, which has obtained the degree of specialist through a university residency program of four years duration recognized by the Council itself and has proved to their peers integrated in jury, have:

·  A) Los conocimientos teóricos generales actualizados de las ciencias básicas que sustentan la especialidad, de los padecimientos que afectan el aparato genital femenino(Ginecología) y del estado grávido puerperal y sus complicaciones (Obstetricia), abarcando de ellos los aspectos aplicables de prevención, etiología, patogenia, diagnóstico, tratamiento y rehabilitación. A) The date general knowledge of basic science underlying the specialty of the diseases that affect the female genital tract (Gynecology) and gravid puerperal state and its complications (Obstetrics), covering the relevant parts of them for prevention, etiology , pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

·  B) El criterio médico quirúrgico adecuado para aplicar esos conocimientos teóricos frente a casos clínicos ya situaciones clínicas particulares. B) The appropriate surgical and medical criteria to apply theoretical knowledge and clinical cases against particular clinical situations.

·  C) El nivel ético y profesionalismo que el propio Consejo y la sociedad esperan de un médico especializado. C) The level of ethics and professionalism that the Council itself and society expect from a specialist doctor.

 ¿Cuáles son los requisitos para la CertificaciónWhat are the requirements for Certification?

Para ser médico certificado del Consejo Mexicano de Ginecología y Obstetricia se requiere aprobar el examen de certificación .To be certified doctor of the Mexican Council of Obstetrics and Gynecology is required to approve the certification exam.

El examen de certificación consta de dos fases: una fase escrita y una fase oral.The certification exam consists of two phases: a written and an oral part.

·  México DF, Guadalajara Jal., Monterrey NL, Tijuana BCN y Mérida Yuc. Mexico City, Guadalajara Jal., Monterrey NL, BCN Tijuana and Merida Yucatan.

¿Cuáles son los objetivos de cada fase del Examen de CertificaciónWhat are the objectives of each phase of the Certification Examination?

Primera fase (examen escrito) . First round (written exam). Evaluar los conocimientos teóricos generales actualizados de las ciencias básicas que sustentan la especialidad, de los padecimientos que afectan al aparato genital femenino (Ginecología), del estado grávido puerperal y sus complicaciones (obstetricia), abarcando de ellos los aspectos aplicables de prevención, etiología, patología, diagnóstico, tratamiento y rehabilitación. To assess the current general knowledge of basic science underlying the specialty of the diseases affecting the female genital tract (Gynecology), gravid puerperal state and its complications (obstetrics), covering the relevant parts of them prevention, etiology, pathology, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

Segunda fase (examen oral) . Phase II (oral examination). Evaluar el criterio médico, quirúrgico adecuado para aplicar los conocimientos teóricos (evaluados en la primera fase) frente a casos clínicos ya situaciones clínicas particulares. Evaluate the medical criteria, to apply the appropriate surgical knowledge (assessed in the first phase) compared to clinical cases and particular clinical situations.
