Dr. L. Fernando Islas Cantua graduated from the Universidad
Autonoma de Sinaloa, Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico
and continued his graduate studies in Orthodontic Dentistry at
Instituto Para el
Desarrollo y Actualizacion de Professionistas (IDAP.)
After spending a year in performing his Social
Services duties at a clinic for the indigent, people without
resources, in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Dr. Islas joined a practice in
the Central Medica
de
Especialidades, (Center of
Medical Specialties) working there for several years before
opening his own private practice in December of 2006.
Dr. Islas lives in Nogales, Sonora with his
lovely wife and 4 kids, 2 girls and 2 boys. The
doctor spends his free time in gym, he loves working out and

INNOVATION DENTAL CLINIC opened their new
clinic in December of 2006, it is located just 3 blocks from the b order (see map below.) Dr.
Islas designed the space himself, it is brightly lit open area with
marble floors, a aquarium with exotic tropical fish (the kids love
sitting on the floor in front of it,) a big screen bilingual
television and lots of open space. A really cool hand painted mural of
the skeletal view of the oral cavity muscles, nerves and teeth adorns
the wall behind the receptionist's desk.
The dental examination and treatment room is
clean and bright, also with marble floors and has the latest in dental
equipment
including a high tech dental chair (see
below.) There is also a separate sterilization and
preparation room.
Innovation Dental Clinic is designed to be a
full service practice offering general dental care with an emphasis on
Orthopedic and Cosmetic Dental care. The experience and training that
the doctor and his staff has accumulated allows the clinic to offer
complete dental services for the whole family.
The dental braces offered include traditional
metal braces, porcelain and the newest dental appliance: In-Ovation-R
high technology braces that offers the lowest amount of time in the
dental chair, the lowest number of visits for adjustments, and the
lowest amount of over all time to a  Beautiful,

The dental office is very comfortable, with
plenty of seating, magazines, TV and of course the aquarium to keep
you or your friends entertained. The kids are always enthralled and captivated
by the all the fish, mostly they don't want to leave. Normally, there is little or no
waiting for a scheduled appointment, Brenda is very skilled at keeping
everything on time, they respect the patient's time, and there is
never a double or triple scheduling. You will find that the Innovation
Dental Clinic is everything and more that would expect in a US dental
