Dr. Arturo Velázquez Huber, graduated from the Dental School at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City, Mexico (National University in Mexico City) in 1972. The doctor continued his education by earning a post graduate degree in Fixed Prosthodontics (Crowns and Bridges) from the School of Dentistry, University of Missouri (UMKC) at Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

The Doctor has continued to keep abreast of the latest developments in Fixed Prosthodontics through numerous seminars, classes and courses through his professional associations in both Mexico and the United States.

Dr. Velázquez practiced Dentistry for both Spanish and English speaking patients in Mexico City until recently moving to Tucson, AZ. He has brought his training, skills and expertise to his new practice in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

The Doctor and his wife of 32 years, Linda now live in Tucson, AZ, where Linda is a teacher. They have two lovely daughters.

The Velazquez Dental Offices are located in his newly renovated Dental Clinic, Nogales, Mexico, about 4 short blocks from the border. They were just remodeled and modernized to accommodate spacious patient examination and 3 treatment and examination rooms with the latest Prosthodontics and General Dentistry technology. 

Dr. Velazquez's dental practice has grown dramatically during the last year--attributable mainly to his many satisfied patients--their referrals have proven invaluable. 

The doctor has invested heavily in his new office and equipment to provide his patients with the latest in care and in their comfort. The doctor is continually adding new equipment to his new offices. They just added an intraoral camera system to show and explain exactly what Dr. Velázquez is seeing. The camera and the X-ray systems are tools that not only helps the Dentist do his job, but are extremely valuable to the patient in helping them make an informed decision as to their dental needs for a healthy smile. 

The Bridges, Crowns and Dentures that Dr. Velázquez designs for the patients takes into consideration the patient's needs for using the prosthodontics in eating and in speaking. Often times over the years the teeth wear down and changes the way the jaw muscles move to chew food. The Prosthodontist takes all this into consideration to insure that your treatment and prosthodontics realign your jaw to its original position to insure that the patient is satisfied with the dental work.

The Velázquez dental offices are also equipped with a full lab to repair  dentures and removable bridges while you wait.

The Offices are spacious and designed to treat one patient at a time with total focus on that patient. There is ample room in the reception area for the  patients guests, but the schedule is normally set to minimize or eliminate patient waiting time. Unlike most US dental offices, the Velazquez Dental Offices strive to meet the patient's appointment needs. 

While the Doctor and his staff (pictured left is Dany, Dental Technician and Assistant with Dr. Art) prides themselves in the quality and professionalism of their work, the Dentist's true specialization is his personalized attention and gentle touch with his patients, most his patients affectionately, call him "Dr. Art." Dr. Art does speak fluent English.
